I simply have no information to impart.

The forums appear to have gone down Thursday night. CJ left for vacation Thursday night. I am not sure when he will return. There is apparently no one else available to fix the fourms. When he returns, I hope he will get them working ASAP. But I have no timeline.

LP told me last night when I got home from work that she talked to Mari and Mari told her, that hopefully they would be up Monday, maybe Tuesday.

Same thing on this end since Friday. Don't expect anything until Tuesday, probably. Maybe Monday, but we'll see.

Hello,

For the childrens bit there was no age cut off.. if a child was old enough to take instructions from a stranger they were old enough to go on their own.. if they weren't old enough to take instructions from a stranger they needed to have a parent stay with them. There would be nothing wrong with an adult walking through the adventure holding a baby if they wanted to.

Also, I kept the children's adventure non-gore and non-scarry to a great extent. It wasn't very Halloween or death oriented. They fought a giant spider and a gargoyle - combat was resolved through dice rolls. Hit points were marshmallows.

LP, both of our kids did this last year, and both enjoyed it. J would have been 3 at the time, and K turned 10 that same weekend last year, I believe.

Heather: What age do you suggest for this event? Sounds fun, but my kids are 5 and 3 (she'll be 4 by Oct though)

Hi there!

The DnD Meetup is a gaming group here in Indy designed to help gamers find each other. We are called DnD but we do all RPG's, board, card, and computer games as well.. geekdom in all it's glory if you will.

http://dnd.meetup.com/83/

Aaaaaannnnnnnyyyway.

Last year we did a family event up in Fishers and invited the Mavens. We are beginning the planning process for our October event this year. The details are contingent on participation at this point.. but generally speaking..we would like to do another children’s treasure hunt/ adventure including a revisit to candy mountain and tangle with the oger and then a second after dark, adult themed, scarry adventure venturing out into the woods.

If you are a parent, LARPer, or like to party this is going to be the event for you!! If you are interested in being either a performer or helper during the event let me know soon!! We are planning a committee meeting for early September and the more creativity and energy we have the better.

Please shoot me an e if you would like to be involved.

Thanks!
Heather Lee

Great to hear something is replacing MavenCon. I had a blast there last year, and I'll be putting this on my calendar.

I'll check out the new website to keep tabs also.

Well with the Stink quickly approaching, less than 24 hours, I just wanted to check to see if there are any spaces open to come to the Stink this year.

Here's crossing my fingers.... If not, well then there is always next year, but....

A computer glitch dumped about 100 people out of the system, and said we no longer existed. The register said we were "dead" to the system and that our files had been maked "killed". SO I wasn't declared dead as such just that's all the jargon were getting form the registrars office. And each of our proffs were issued with a letter saying that said students no longer existed as such and we were not allowed to attend classes till we re registered.

So iwasn't listed as "dead" outside the university but I had to show up with a birthcertificate and legalk ID (the University isued ones didn't count even though we had to have the other stuff to have gotten it in the first placeto get our files reopeoned through the registration system.

It didn't make a whole lot of sense 25 years ago... and still doesn't make much sense now. At least I was out of the dorms by then and didn't need a meal ticket.

That's incredible. How'd they figure you were deceased to begin with?

Savior: Is the info on the site or in the site forums? You can post that, I have no problem with that I'm not part of the group, but I have promoted it to.
